Blue Chip has announced a change to the main event for War on the Shore II on July 24 at Festival Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. Mexico City’s Cesar Juarez will replace Travis Crawford and face Anaheim, California’s Rameses Vargas in the scheduled lightweight main event.

Juarez brings a wealth of experience to Charleston. A former world title challenger, the veteran has built a reputation as one of Mexico’s toughest fighters, earning the nickname “WARez” among boxing writers for his relentless pressure, come-forward style, and willingness to trade from the opening bell. Best known for his spirited challenge of Nonito Donaire for the WBO super bantamweight world title, Juarez has spent his career sharing the ring with elite competition and has become widely respected for his iron chin and unwavering toughness.

For Vargas, the late opponent change represents a significant step up in competition. While the Freddie Roach-trained lightweight has continued to build momentum, Juarez is widely regarded as the most experienced and battle-tested opponent of his professional career.

Despite the late change atop the card, War on the Shore II remains set for July 24 at Festival Hall, with Vargas now facing a veteran who has made a career out of pushing contenders and world champions to their limit.
